‘Schiffchen’ Museum Restaurant

The “Schiffchen” museum restaurant is located at the weaving mill. It offers a wide selection of dishes for lunch and dinner, as well as coffee and cake, in a cosy atmosphere. The restaurant can seat 140 guests, whilst the beer garden can accommodate up to 200.

Opening hours:
Wednesday to Sunday from 11.00, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

The ‘SkyLounge’ café-bistro at the Spinnerei offers a stunning view over the city and can be booked for private parties and events.

How to get there

Getting there by car

A3 Oberhausen – Arnhem. If you are coming from Oberhausen, take the Hamminkeln exit; if you are coming from Arnhem, take the Bocholt/Rees exit.

The museum car park for both sites is located at the Weberei, Uhlandstraße 50. From there, it is just a few minutes’ walk across the Kubaai Bridge to the Spinnerei.

Getting there by bus and train

Bocholt can be reached by bus from Münster and the Netherlands, and by bus and train from Wesel. From the station, it is about a 200-metre walk to the spinning mill and about 900 metres to the weaving mill.

Getting there by bike

The textile mill is part of the North Rhine-Westphalia-wide cycle route network, which is signposted with red and white signs. It is situated along the cycle route:

Shopping at the museum

Our museum shop in the weaving and spinning mill offers a wide selection of fabrics, tablecloths, cloths and other fabric-based products.
Opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 10 am–6 pm.

Taking Your Dog to the Museum

You are welcome to bring dogs on a lead into the outdoor area.
However, dogs are not permitted inside the buildings. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are an exception to this rule.
